Prize amounts are subject to withholding tax deducted at source by the State Bank of Pakistan. The tax rate depends on whether you are on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL). Tax is deducted before the prize amount is paid to winners.

Hold the bond against light and look for the watermark of Quaid-e-Azam's portrait.
Genuine bonds have a distinct texture and are made from premium paper with embedded fibers.
Check for the embedded security thread running vertically through the bond.
Ensure the serial number is clearly printed and matches the expected format.
Always purchase prize bonds from authorized banks and financial institutions. If you suspect a bond is counterfeit, report it immediately to the State Bank of Pakistan or your local bank branch.
Prize bond draws are held regularly throughout the year. Check the schedule for each denomination and plan your investments accordingly.

Draw results are typically announced within 24-48 hours after the draw date. Winners can claim prizes from authorized banks across Pakistan.

Winners have 6 years from the draw date to claim their prizes. After this period, unclaimed prizes are forfeited to the government.
